Michael Ryan Vance
Michael grew up in Watertown, TN, a small town just ouside of Nashville. Even though he had a love for music since he was young, he didn't get his first guitar until the age of 16, starting him on the music path a bit later than most. Taken under the wing of some of Nashville's seasoned musicians, he grew quickly as a guitarist and vocalist by playing at weekly jam nights in the Nashville area. Influenced by greats like Stevie Ray Vaughn, Jimi Hendrix and Santana, at 28 years of age, Michael Vance is on the path of quickly becoming a influencial guitarist and performer himself He has shared the stage with music greats such as Robert Randolph & The Family Band, Paul Warren ( Rod Stewart), The Wooten Brothers, Bobby Rush, James “Nick” Nixon, Billy Cox of The Jimi Hendrix Experience and Derek St.Holmes of the Ted Nugent Band to name a few. But perhaps the most surreal moment of Michael’s career came when legendary rock star, Robert Plant, singer of Led Zeppelin, happened in to Nashville’s Hotel Preston. Michael was playing with his band and on a break the band came to pay homage to the rock great. Robert commented that he not only liked the band but thought they were great.
