The first Wampler overdrive and distortion pedal designed exclusively for bass guitar.

Some of the most consistently asked questions to Wampler Pedals is “Will this pedal work on bass?” or “Have you got a bass overdrive?”. So, several years ago Brian Wampler started on tweaking a bass circuit, it’s been out to more players than we can remember, with each one making a suggestion about how it can be improved. After this, they all started saying “That’s it, it’s perfect”. That was the point Brian started to really refine it. Working with Wampler engineer (and bass player) Jake Steffes, Brian tuned the gain stages to perfection and the Low Blow was born.

Each of the 2 clipping modes – Smooth and Jagged – react just the way you would expect them too. Smooth giving you more of an overdrive with the jagged being more distorted. The addition of a 3 band EQ (Bass, Mids, and Treble) allows a player to have more tonal control no matter what the gig calls for.

With the the Notch Filter switch, you can help tighten/clean up common cabinet “woof” without having to turn down. The Low Blow also features Wampler’s standard top mounted jacks and our soft click electrical relay true by-pass switch.

Finally, with the help of a bass player – Wampler created a bass pedal for bass players.

Simply designed to keep your tone perfectly balanced within a beautiful and full tremolo.

From the sweet shimmering tremolo of yesteryear to helicopter choppiness of today, the tremolo has been a staple for guitar effects. With one foot in sweet vintage tones and one foot in more modern helicopter chops, the Wampler Latitude Standard simply just offers you pure and beautiful tremolo.

Like the standard’s big brother, the Deluxe, the standard has a pure signal path that allow the tremolo effect to be layered across the top giving you the best sound you can possible want from a tremolo.

Featuring a standard sine wave and controls for level, speed and depth, those tremolo tones you’ve always chased can be yours simply and easily. Most important of these controls, believe it or not, is the volume. How many times have you put a tremolo on and it’s either been way too loud or quiet, with this control you can easily balance your tone perfectly. This may seem obvious, but you’d be surprised how many great tremolo’s are let down by a poorly placed, or completely missing, volume control.

Tremolo, beautifully simple, by Wampler Pedals.

A more aggressive and edgy British stack tone, bringing you the citrus power and tone to your amp…

We wanted to make a pedal that could faithfully reproduce the tones of a specific citrus colored, British amp made famous by artists like Jimmy Page, Weezer, Queens of the Stone Age, and Slipknot… A distinctive tone that stands out in terms of power, width and dirt. After spending countless hours tweaking the circuit and testing it against many tones from those great amps, we were able to produce the one pedal that captures that attitude – the cataPulp.

The cataPulp’s gain structure truly represents what every great amp in a box (AIAB) should be – with super clean tones that get increasingly dirtier after the “12 o’clock” setting; it allows you to cover a lot of ground between those classic rock inspired tones all the way to a thick syrupy metal territory – You can use this pedal as a tone shaper or a secondary gain stage – as always with a Wampler, it’s a truly versatile tonal workhorse! The cataPulp also features an active 3 band EQ that will allow you to tweak and control your tone perfectly.

The cataPulp can provide you with everything from pristine cleans to the edgy, aggressive, grittier side of British distortion. It’s time to stand back and let your tone do the fighting.

Somewhere between the classic distortion tones and the ultra-modern high gain sound, there was an American amplifier that redefined gain…

Soldano® amplifiers have been heard on some of the best guitar-god albums; and Brian couldn’t resist the challenge of capturing an authentic SLO-100® inspired tone in a pedal. Brian’s refined ear and wealth of experience designing pedals has led him to take what he feels are the killer tones of that amp and bring them under foot for guitarists with any setup.

The SLOstortion brings the awesome tone of those killer high-wattage heads and famous preamps together into one package, with a voicing that will be maintained across virtually any setup. No need to worry whether you’ll have a good clean tone and a good distorted tone. Just your favorite amp and the SLOstortion to take your tone places walked by some of the best guitar-slingers from the 1980s to today.

It features a great three-band EQ to make sure you can have “The Tone” through YOUR setup, whatever it may be. The gain is switchable between two separate modes to capture the nuances and flavor of its inspiration. The normal mode will go from a nearly clean tone to a tight, defined crunch, and the high gain mode goes all out. It’s responsive, too, and to top it off, even when the tone is as heavy as it gets, the pedal doesn’t squeal and hiss with noise. No sacrifices for your rig.

To top it off, the pedal features a specially tuned clean boost. It’s an op-amp boost circuit Brian’s worked on for some time, and even at unity output, it will add a little something extra to the sound. Stand out for your solo, or just give it that little extra kick. To complete the package, it functions independently: a true two-in-one pedal, offering great value, our way of showing our appreciation for the faith you place in our products!

We think you’re going to love this one. Brian’s worked on it as hard as he’s ever worked on anything before, and the results are apparent: an authentic American roar, with all the gain and tonal adjustments you need to take you and your rig wherever you need to go, and reliability that won’t let you down. Rock on, powered by the Wampler Pedals SLOstortion!

The Triple Wreck is probably one of the tightest, thickest highest gain distortions you have ever heard… Many people have told us that it sounds more like a 5150® amp to them than a distortion pedal, that may very well be – All we can say is that we designed it to just be an ass kicking distortion pedal, heavier than everything else, meaner than everything else, and it is.

With a solid three band EQ (you can scoop out those mids without it peaking out the lows and highs like so many other pedals) you can emulate some of your favorite high gain tones – but, as this pedal is so versatile you can easily find a distinctive tone all of your own.

There are two distinct voices in the Triple Wreck, Hard and Brutal. The Hard gives you that warmer thump high gain whereas the Brutal allows a little more sparkle to creep in, giving it that more recent, full audio spectrum feel.

So, we’ve already put in loads of gain, maybe more than you need, so let’s stick in a boost switch. What? Putting a boost switch on an already high gain pedal may sound crazy but you’ll be amazed at how well it works. It gives you two options via the Boost Contour blend control. With the boost on and it dialed round to counter-clockwise, your distortion is multiplied and you have the solo sound you have always wanted. Pinch harmonics are just there, in places you’ve never found them before. With it dialed round to clockwise, your pedal turns into a fuzzy monster… Tweak the EQ and you can get tone that will remind you of the Smashing Pumpkins right round to some Pink Floyd kind of fuzzy solo tone. It’s all there, waiting for you.

Think about your favorite high gain tone. Is it a high gain with the mids scooped out, or is it roll your hand across the knobs to get that in your face, fuzzy, brutal attitude-melting distortion. Whatever you are looking for, the Triple Wreck is probably the only pedal on the market that can satisfy all of those options. This pedal should come with a public health warning.

A simple delay designed for one purpose. To retain your tone and provide the deepest, warmest and musical delay lines.

Whether you choose a long drawn out delay time, a short slap back, or just enough delay and echo to fatten up your rhythm section – a great delay pedal can take your guitar playing to the next level.

The Wampler Faux Analog Echo is a pure sounding, straight ahead delay pedal that will allow your tone to remain intact note after note – without coloration. For this reason, the Faux Analog Echo has found its way on to the boards of countless musicians. From the weekend warrior to country playing greats like Brad Paisley and Brent Mason – the Faux Analog Echo will be your go to delay pedal night after night.

The Faux Analog Echo is based around the industry leading pt2399 chip. The industry standard for delay pedals. We treat the signal path in such a way that the dry path and the core signal are completely unaltered, we only use the chip to make a digital replication. Simply put, your tone remains pure and intact, without thin and brittle sounding repeats. With the addition of a tone knob, you can incorporate a little sparkle for digital crispness, or take it all the way out for a more natural and organic tone.

Whether you are playing sold out arenas or not, The Faux Analog Delay will allow your tone to remain the way it should – pure and intact – note after note.

If your amp is missing reverb or just isn’t up the standard you desire, the Faux Spring Reverb brings it back in to your tone…

When you bought your amp, how much attention did you pay to the reverb? Did you just turn it up a bit, heard it was there and then concentrate on the tone of the amp itself? Don’t worry, you are not alone, most people do that. We’ve all done it.

Once you got your new amp home, head over heels in love with it, was it then you noticed that the reverb sounded not quite as good as it could… Or maybe did this happen when you turned it up really loud, or took it to a gig… It happens. Maybe your dream amp is one of those that are being designed without reverb to ensure that the signal path remains as pure as possible. That’s a great idea, but playing without reverb…? Not an option for most of us.

You can buy any number of reverb pedals these days that sound like everything, they give you plates, halls, springs, rooms, gates, reverse halls… even reverse plates – who needs a reverse plate reverb? So many options that in all honesty, you will never use. It may be great to play with at home but would you ever use them..? Probably not.

Guitarists love a really good classic spring reverb sound. You know; those fat watery tones that could make your mouth water. Reverb that has tons of character and added a real juice to your sound, not like the new breed of digital coldness that seems to be everywhere these days. Step up to the plate (or more accurately, the spring) the Faux Spring Reverb by Wampler Pedals. The only pedal that gives you that consistent spring reverb tone that just hasn’t existed in amplifiers for years, or any ultra powerful effects unit, ever.

The great thing about the Faux Spring Reverb is that it retains the Analog base tone, doesn’t send your signal through digital/analog converters and back again (wrecking your tone completely) allowing you to be as springy as you like without your sound becoming lifeless, dull and… well, bad. With the tone control, you can control your sound completely and have your reverb be as bright as day, or dark as night… As lively and bright as a small hall, or as deep as the biggest cathedrals.

A beautiful and warm delay with the most realistic and expressive tape emulator built in.

The Faux Tape Echo delay has become a staple in Nashville and beyond, from masterful session guitarists to studio “house sound” collections and of course seen on stages worldwide! Based around very carefully selected and very rigorously tested PT2399 delay chips, the Faux AnalogEcho and Faux Tape Echo circuits allowed Brian to combine the note clarity of a sophisticated digital delay with an all-analog dry path (unaffected signal) and magnificent all-analog tone-shaping and modulation circuitry.

With our hybrid design approach, you get the best of both worlds. You get note clarity, lower noise, and longer delay times from digital delays. You get the lovely warmth and little, exquisite touches that are usually reserved for analog delays. Nearly every part of the pedal, all of its major functions, are analog. The “delay line” is the only digital part of the signal path. It alone being digital brings clarity and focus to the task in a way that analog delay line chips can’t really match.

But everything else, all the absolutely vital filtering to carefully finish the sound is pure analog. Every aspect of the modulation that gives the Faux Tape Echo pedal a unique function and tone and makes it desirable for people who want their delay tone to sound as good as tape delay units but without all the maintenance, supplies, and hassle? Totally analog. Your all-important fundamental dry tone is 100% analog, too.

So when we say it’s the best of both worlds, we absolutely mean it. From country slap-back to ambient washes to straight-ahead rock and metal delay, the hybrid approach lets Brian make one pedal that can do it all.

The Faux Tape Echo takes everything great about the original, and adds to it that much-requested tap tempo functionality that users have been asking for, as well as Brian’s new idea in emulating the elusive and beautiful character that people look for in classic tape echo units. The time has come to unveil the Faux Tape Echo that everyone has been waiting for – and we’ve all worked hard to make sure you’re going to love it!

Since the early 60’s, Marshall Amplifiers® have lead the way in rock tones with its legendary tight overdrive and coveted bass response. Early rock legends such as: Jimi Hendrix, Led Zeppelin, Cream, and AC/DC helped lead the way in creating some of the most iconic rock tones ever produced and catapulted Marshall Amplifiers® into the icon of rock tone.

With these huge influential musicians and tones in mind, we sat down and designed a pedal that could help tone chasers produce the same guitar tones as those rock heroes.

The Plexi-Drive’s unique gain structure is capable of running the tonal rock gamut. From bluesy style 18-watt Marshall tones to the all out massive rock tones of a JTM-45® cranked to ten (preferably 11), the Plexi-Drive can handle it all with ease. Along with the volume, gain and perfectly placed tone control, the additional bass boost option allows the player to emulate the feeling of the low-end thump of having a 4×12” cabinet (or two) at the flick of a switch. This becomes really useful when playing at lower volumes.

To this day, the Plexi-Drive is still one of our favorite pedals and is never far from Brian’s personal pedalboard. For a man who is said to be never satisfied with his tone, the Plexi-Drive has stayed with him throughout and is still inspiring him year after year.

Your search for the perfect simple M.I.A.B. (Marshall® in a Box) can finally be over. The Plexi-Drive will give you the crunch, response, and feeling that your rig begs for. Whether you are playing sold out shows or rocking out by yourself – the Plexi-Drive will inspire you to create your own flavor of rock!

After over 3 years in the design stage, the Thirty Something is the perfect way to bring that famous British chime to your rig.

After tweaking this circuit for just over 3 years, Brian was beyond happy to have finally nailed that classic chime and style of overdrive. This has become somewhat of a mission for use, other pedals have come and gone, but this one has always been on the breadboard; being tweaked here and modified there. Finally we were ready to present one of his favorite tones of all time to the world.

What makes those amps so special? Well, first of all there is the “chime” – A beautifully clear and concise high response that cuts through anything. Then there is the overdrive. When you push it hard (with the boost switch activated) the tone creates a midrange hump that makes your tone enormous but with enough clarity to hear every string ring through. The Thirty Something truly is a master class in tone.

As you would expect from Wampler Pedals, great care has been taken to ensure authenticity of tone. The EQ features a Top Cut control that reacts and removes the same spectrum of frequencies you would expect from the originals. Switchable gain stages allow you a much clearer tone right up to the “that” beautiful, almost regal overdrive.

With the built in Class A treble boost, this really is the ultimate pedal of its kind.
